      Course description: Introduction to Arabic, the Arabic alphabet, reading and writing Arabic letters (sound and animation), joining letters into words and identifying letters in words, reading Arabic words, very basic arabic grammar, quizzes/games.
      This course teaches modern standard Arabic - this is the Arabic you'll need in any Arabic-speaking community to read books (including Qur'an and Hadith), newspapers, street signs and other official documents as well as listen to radio, tv and public speaking. Note: this course does not teach country-specific dialect/slang. There are 11 lessons with five parts each plus a summary. Pronunciation is in the popular real audio format. Course can be completed in two weeks (access provided for 3 months).
      Requirements: No prior knowledge of Arabic is assumed. Instruction is in English.

    • Arabic 102 - Beginner Level II: (ARA-102-DL)

      Course description: Quick summary of A101 (Arabic alphabet and vowels, joining letters chart - one lesson only!), learning how to read words, phrases and simple sentences, writing skills and spelling, basic sentence formation, introductory arabic grammar (nominal sentences, verbal sentences, verb conjugation, gender, prepositions and articles, numbers, declension etc), common words/phrases, reading samples.
      All matertial is in modern standard Arabic.
      Requirements: Knowledge equivalent to A101 level or Easy-Arabic software (see A101 description above). Basically, you should be able to recognize all Arabic letters (stand alone or joined), vowels and marks. You should also be able to join letters, read words (with some struggle) and recognize a few hundred words as a startup vocabulary. Instruction is in English.
