Arabic Script Software Map by Isam Ishaq (Last updated: December, 1995) : The first attempt to collect and organize information on Arabic related software, standards and more for all platforms. The above is a mirror site, original site is in Germany. Some info is incomplete or outdated.
The Arabic Macintosh - An Informal Resource Center : Maintained by Dr Knut S. Vikør. This site concentrates on the Mac operating system but has other general resources in addition to editing/viewing Arabic text on the web and downloadable files.
Reader, an Arabic Script Software Resource : This is an FTP site with Arabic info, some programs, and utilities for all platforms. Some folders have readme files inside.
PC Arabic Computing Resource : by Abdel-Hadi Bukres. Concentrates on the PC platform, has info on operating systems, office and other applications, public domain files and more. Some info is incomplete or outdated.
Amr's Arabic Archive : By Amr Haggag. Contains info on commercial software/hardware, downloadable Arabic shareware and freeware (word-processing, Internet etc).
The American Association of Teachers of Arabic : Contains info about Arabic programs (academic), Arabic textbooks, Arabic software and commercial directory (both not ready as of July, 22, 1997)
